The 2024 Great North American Solar Eclipse is almost here! Please note the following information for our staff and students:
-There will be NO SCHOOL on Monday, April 8th. Enjoy this special event with your family!
- The White County Central School District campus will be CLOSED to visitors on April 8th.
-All WCC students will receive a pair of eclipse glasses that will go home with them this week. These were provided by the Arkansas STEM Coalition.

Student Council is KISSING SENIORS GOODBYE! You can too! You may purchase 5 Hershey kisses for $1 or 12 for $2 along with a note of encouragement to any 2024 senior! Forms and money are due to the high school library by April 10th!

Spring photos and spring/peewee sports photos will take place on April 17th.
All of PK-4th will sit for photos and receive proofs, 5-12th will only sit for photos if they have pre-ordered or have their money and forms with them. Please use a separate form for each student, and include a note if the money is with only one of the forms -- otherwise you may not receive all the pictures you ordered on time.

The junior class is selling shirts, koozies and bags to raise money for prom and senior year activities. Contact a junior to order. Forms will also be sent home with PreK to 6th grade students.
Money and orders are due April 10.

Elementary lost and found is out of control. If your child is missing a jacket, or anything else, please come to school and look through what we have. We will also give students time to look through them. Contact your child's teacher, or call the elementary office, if you know of a specific item we need to look for. Friday, April 5, items will be bagged and either placed in our coat closet or donated. Thank you!
Congratulations to WCC Elementary Story Bears for their 2nd place win at the Wilbur Mills Regional Battle of the Books! Team members are Ellie Goodin, Harper Stanley, Nate Johnston, Case Treece and Baron Simmons.
We would like to congratulate our AR Boys and Girls state nominees who will be representing WCC this summer--Isabella Rodgers and Bryce Barry! Congratulations to you both on earning this accomplishment!
**Baseball Schedule Change**
Jr. High will play first at 4:30 and then Sr. High to follow. The games are at WCC!
There has been some changes with the baseball game due to umpire conflicts. JR HIGH WILL PLAY AT 4:30, and SR HIGH WILL PLAY AFTER.
White County Central Kindergarten, Preschool, and HIPPY registration is this Thursday, March 28th! Registration/Kindergarten Screenings will be held in the auditorium from 9:00-12:00 and 1:00-2:30. See the attached graphic to determine what you need to bring for registration. We are looking forward to meeting our incoming students!! K-8: Our first Kona Ice of the spring will be this Friday!

Congratulations to our 2nd grade Story Bears! Lincoln Crawford, Marci Johnson, Kylie Johnston and Brooks Morgan will compete at the Regional Primary Battle of the Books at Wilbur Mills Co-Op on March 27.
Parents, don't forget to pick up food bags today or make arrangements with me if needed! K-8 bags are in the elementary building, 9-12 bags are in high school. I hope everyone has a safe and restful Spring Break!
